a 5 days trip in istanbul

as the begin of my English blog i want to post a report about trip in Istanbul.
a city with a history of 5000 years,10,000,000 citizens, but we must do it within 5 days, crazy!
it took me more than 4 days to work out a plan include timetable, route, destinations, but field. it is simply impossible to read such a great city in a glaze.
and now, i am sitting in my studio in TU Munich, and thinking about the hole trip in Istanbul, every detail i don't want to miss, every scene i will never forget......

the city is one of the greatest metropolis all over the world. I'm a from Beijing, as a native Beijinger i love my hometown at the best, but as i came to Istanbul, i do admire the people who's living here. they have a such a great culture, first of all a very tasty gastronomy. before i set off to Istanbul, i studied so much thing about its uniqueness, dance and song or even bath. and of course the architecture what i am major in. it is more related to the history of the city.but now the city is in transition, like the other cities in Asia, maybe several decades later it will get a another appearance.

actually it seems all the cities in Asia look a little bit same. i just can't stop the comparison between Istanbul and Beijing. they have both a huge mass of historical heritage and they are very attractive. the agglomoration are taking place in both of them.but Beijing is more ambitions and delirious. the old city of Beijing was one of the most great man-made project following a political ideology on the planet. but after the revolution, the city wall wasn't remain any more and the old city is also under the threaten to be demolished. as a contract, the hole old city of Istanbul is a cultural heritage of UNESCO, i don't know in which year they did this but i do admire them.

you can also take a look at the CBD of Istanbul, maybe the most crazy skyline in Europe.High-raised buildings could be seen every where. and the trafic planing is not suitable for the pedestrain at all. may be i'v been in Munich for a long time and couldn't be confronted with such a system any more.
